These are some of my tries and true tips!!
Take care of you first!-You must put your oxygen mask on before assisting others. If you don’t care of you, who will take care of them? This is. A hard one for so many parents,me included. My kids are 9 and 12. I still want to do so many things for them but I can’t, they have to grow up and being ADHD they will have to learn in a way that works for them.
Get a babysitter- find a sitter because you deserve a break. Raising an ADHD kid is hard and you need time to decompress. Add alone time to list, you need this everyday this a could mean just sitting in your car! Teach your kids to do chores- this is possible teach them in a way that works for their ADHD 🧠, grab the freebie in my bio. Pick your battles, yes some things you will just have to let go, most of the time good enough really is “ good enough”. We don’t stress over things like, a spotless ( clean but not spotless) house or perfectly organized ( organized but not perfect) spaces, I do LOVE these things but not at the risk of our peace and wellbeing!
